TalentHive in Saudi Arabia is seeking an experienced Senior Design Electrical Engineer to support major Thermal Power Plant projects. You will review, coordinate, and manage electrical design activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary teams.

The successful candidate will ensure engineering quality, design integrity, and successful project execution from detailed engineering through commissioning and close-out.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering required.
• Minimum 10 years in large thermal power plant projects.
• Experience reviewing EPC contractor submissions and designs.
• Experience across design, construction, testing and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate electrical engineering designs and deliverables.
• Review EPC contractor submissions and detailed design packages.
• Validate SLDs, schematics, load lists, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers and internal teams.
• Review vendor documentation and FAT procedures.
• Support change management, risk assessments and technical compliance.

We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Design Electrical Engineer to support major Thermal Power Plant projects in Saudi Arabia. This role will be responsible for reviewing, coordinating, and managing electrical engineering design activities throughout the project lifecycle, working closely with EPC contractors, consultants, vendors, and multidisciplinary engineering teams.

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring engineering quality, technical compliance, design integrity, and successful project execution from detailed engineering through commissioning and project close-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and coordinate electrical engineering designs and technical deliverables.
• Review EPC contractor engineering submissions and detailed design packages.
• Review and validate Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), schematic drawings, load lists, design calculations, studies, and equipment layouts.
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and internal engineering disciplines.
• Review vendor documentation, procurement packages, and supplier technical submissions.
• Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) and review associated procedures and reports.
• Review construction methodologies, installation procedures, commissioning documentation, reliability testing, and performance testing activities.
• Support design change management, technical risk assessments, HAZOP reviews, and engineering compliance activities.
• Review IFC, AFC, AFI, and as-built documentation.
• Provide technical leadership throughout project execution and close-out phases.

Requirements

Mandatory

• Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 10 years of experience within large Thermal Power Plant projects
• Strong experience reviewing EPC contractor engineering and design submissions
• Experience across design, engineering review, construction, commissioning, and testing phases
• Strong understanding of international electrical engineering standards

Preferred

• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) registration
• Combined Cycle Power Plant (CCPP) experience
