Job summary

Nesma Industrial Services is seeking a Safety Engineer focusing on Drilling & Workover Operations to join our team in Saudi Arabia. The candidate will provide daily safety support to upstream organizations, covering field and office safety across petroleum engineering, exploration, drilling, and workover activities.

We require a bachelor’s degree in engineering and a minimum of 7 years in oil and gas upstream.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of relevant oil and gas upstream industry experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
• Excellent English communication, both written and oral.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System and related safety processes.
• Inspect onshore and offshore drilling rigs and workover equipment; knowledge of well control procedures.
• Identify, evaluate, recommend actions, and follow up on critical safety tasks and control methodologies (e.g., work at height, LOTO, permit to work).
• Participate in risk assessments and mitigation activities (PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs, incident investigations).
• Develop safety programs and emergency response plans for upstream activities.
