Job summary

Nesma Industrial Services, part of the Nesma Group, seeks a Safety Engineer to focus on Drilling and Workover Operations. You will provide daily field and office safety support to upstream teams, ensuring compliance with Saudi Aramco SMS and international best practices in risk management.

The role requires 7+ years in oil and gas upstream, strong English communication, and a proven track record in drilling, workover, well planning and safety program development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of oil & gas upstream experience.
• Strong communication in English (oral and written).

Responsibilities

• Facilitate implementation of the Saudi Aramco Safety Management System objectives and related processes.
• Inspect onshore and offshore drilling rigs and workover equipment, applying well control knowledge.
• Identify and follow up on critical safety tasks using risk assessment and mitigation methods.
• Conduct safety studies (PHAs, HAZOPs, JSAs) and participate in incident investigations.
• Communicate clearly in English with peers and management and document reports.
