Job summary

Ma'aden Gold and Base Metals (MGBM) is seeking a Senior Specialist, Data Base & Data Mart to architect scalable data foundations supporting analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives. You will lead data models, ETL/ELT processes, and governance to ensure secure, reliable insights across the enterprise.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration with engineering, analytics, governance, and cybersecurity teams, driving continuous improvement and capability building in data engineering

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Master’s degree in Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Analytics, or a related field is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver scalable and high-performing database and data mart solutions for analytics, reporting, and AI initiatives.
• Translate business and analytical requirements into logical and physical data models aligned with enterprise standards.
• Establish reusable design patterns for consistency, maintainability, and long-term scalability.
• Enable reliable enterprise data delivery through ETL/ELT processes and data integration practices.
• Ensure solutions are deployed, tested, and transitioned into production effectively.
• Improve delivery quality through architecture reviews and engineering best practices.
• Optimize database and data mart performance via tuning, indexing, and capacity management.
• Strengthen resilience with monitoring, recovery planning, and preventive improvements.
• Embed data quality, lineage, metadata, ownership, retention, and governance requirements.
