Job summary

Saipem is seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer to join the Project Control and Project Risk Management area in Saudi Arabia. You will oversee the cost control system for complex, high-value projects, perform variance analysis, update forecasts and provide actionable data to the Project Manager and senior management.

Ideal candidates bring solid EPC/Oil & Gas project experience, proficiency with SAP, PRISM, Primavera P6 and Excel, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Solid experience as Cost Control Engineer or Project Control Engineer.
• Experience managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and variance analysis.
• Advanced knowledge of project cost control, budgeting and reporting processes.
• Familiar with Cost Breakdown Structures and integration with systems.
• Proficient in SAP, PRISM, Primavera P6 and advanced Excel.
• Ability to work in international, multidisciplinary environments.
• Excellent written and spoken English.

Responsibilities

• Set up and update the project cost control system per procedures.
• Define and maintain the Cost Breakdown Structure and budget allocations.
• Analyze Original and Revised Control Budgets and deviations.
• Monitor actual costs, accruals, earned value and progress.
• Prepare forecasts including EAC and ETC.
• Identify budget deviations and propose corrective actions.
• Support PM in achieving targets, cash flow and invoicing.
• Contribute to cost impact analysis for contractual variations.
• Support risk and opportunity management with cost evaluations.
• Prepare periodic Cost Control and Project Status Reports.
• Collaborate with AFC, Procurement, Contract Management, Planning.
• Promote cost-conscious culture within project team.
