Job summary

ELSEWEDY ELECTRIC POWER SYSTEMS PROJECTS in Jeddah seeks an Electrical Engineer to support execution and control of electrical construction activities, including HV/EHV substations and commissioning.

You will review shop drawings, supervise on-site installation, perform tests, ensure QA/QC compliance, and maintain as-built records for project handover, following SEC standards and safety regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in power, including 3+ years in SEC substation projects or Power Plants.
• Previous SEC approval as electrical Engineer is a must
• Proven experience in HV / EHV substation or power Plants projects.

Responsibilities

• Review electrical shop drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams for compliance with specs and codes.
• Assist in monitoring electrical installation activities on-site with technical guidance.
• Supervise electrical testing including IR, continuity, and load tests; support commissioning.
• Support QA/QC inspections to ensure compliance with standards (NEC/IEC) and project requirements.
• Identify and report non-conformances and follow up corrective actions.
• Ensure all activities comply with safety regulations and HSE requirements.
• Maintain electrical documentation (test reports, logs, inspection records) for traceability.
• Prepare as-built records reflecting actual installed electrical systems for handover.

Job description

Provides technical support in the execution and control of electrical construction activities, including power distribution, cabling, lighting, earthing, and equipment installation, to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and electrical standards. Supports site execution and coordination activities, quality control, progress monitoring, and technical documentation to ensure proper and timely delivery of electrical works in line with project requirements.

Key Accountabilities:

• Review electrical shop drawings, schematics, and single-line diagrams to ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes, and design requirements.
• Assist in monitoring electrical installation activities on-site and provide technical guidance to ensure correct execution of works in accordance with approved documents.
• Supervise electrical testing activities including insulation resistance (IR), continuity, and load tests, and support system commissioning to ensure operational readiness.
• Support actively QA/QC inspections of electrical works to ensure compliance with applicable standards such as NEC/IEC and project quality requirements.
• Identify and report non-conformances in electrical installations and support follow-up corrective actions to ensure quality compliance.
• Ensure all electrical activities comply with safety regulations and project HSE requirements, and support reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Maintain accurate electrical documentation including test reports, site logs, and inspection records to ensure full traceability of works.
• Prepare and maintain as-built records reflecting actual installed electrical systems to support project handover requirements.
• Support monitoring of electrical system readiness and commissioning activities to ensure successful completion and operational performance.
