Qualifications

• 7+ years of direct experience in civil engineering, with a strong background in mass earthworks, roads, or large-scale site development.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Comprehensive understanding of international civil engineering standards (ASTM, AASHTO, ACI) and ability to interpret grading plans and geotechnical reports.

Responsibilities

• Site supervision and quality control of heavy civil construction, including earthworks, road networks and utilities, ensuring adherence to drawings and specs.
• Review contractor shop drawings, submittals and method statements to flag constructability issues or clashes.
• Conduct site inspections, witness compaction tests and review concrete pouring preparations, signing off with client representatives.
• Monitor contractor performance against baseline schedule and report field progress to the Resident Engineer.
• Enforce health, safety and environmental guidelines on site in a desert environment.
