At Jacobs, we push the limits of what is possible to make the world smarter and more connected. We are seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join our team at NEOM and provide contractual leadership across a major programme.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and monitor project execution to ensure progress aligns with the approved baseline schedule.
- Track procurement activities for civil and structural materials, identifying and managing long-lead items.
- Prepare and communicate project progress reports, highlighting delays, risks, and mitigation strategies.
- Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
- Lead contractor meetings to review progress, resolve conflicts, address obstacles, and implement effective solutions.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks through continuous monitoring and mitigation planning.
- Oversee project closeout and handover phases, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documented.
- Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, calculations, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
- Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through site inspections, defect identification, non-conformance management, and adherence to project specifications.
- Provide technical leadership and stakeholder management by mentoring engineering teams, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, resolving technical queries, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
Experience Required:
- Minimum 10 years of experience in civil engineering and construction projects.
Education Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
Skills Required:
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, engineering standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Proficiency in baseline schedule development, program analysis, progress monitoring, and performance tracking.
- Experience with 3D modeling and design software such as Autodesk Plant 3D and Aveva E3D.
- Skilled in scope management, change control, vendor management, technical bid evaluation, and cost/risk management.
- Strong analytical thinking, decision-making, stakeholder management, communication, and mentoring abilities.
