Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Senior Civil Engineer to join the NEOM team and provide contractual leadership across a major programme. The role requires over a decade of civil/structural project experience and a Civil Engineering degree.

Responsibilities include managing project execution, procurement tracking, progress reporting, risk management, and stakeholder coordination while mentoring engineering teams and ensuring compliance with codes and standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of civil engineering and construction project experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Proficiency in baseline schedule development, program analysis, progress monitoring, and performance tracking.
• Experience with 3D modeling tools such as Autodesk Plant 3D and Aveva E3D.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor project execution to align with the approved baseline schedule.
• Track procurement activities for civil and structural materials, identifying and managing long-lead items.
• Prepare and communicate project progress reports, highlighting delays, risks, and mitigation strategies.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary project activities to ensure seamless integration across all disciplines.
• Lead contractor meetings to review progress, resolve conflicts, address obstacles, and implement effective solutions.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks through continuous monitoring and mitigation planning.
• Oversee project closeout and handover phases, ensuring all deliverables are completed and documented.
• Review and validate structural and infrastructure designs, calculations, shop drawings, material submissions, and method statements to ensure compliance with codes and standards.
• Ensure quality, safety, and regulatory compliance through site inspections, defect identification, non-conformance management, and adherence to project specifications.
• Provide technical leadership and stakeholder management by mentoring engineering teams, coordinating with contractors and stakeholders, resolving technical queries, and fostering a collaborative work environment.
