Job summary

Parsons is seeking a Senior Architect to lead architectural design development for major infrastructure projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and ensuring regulatory compliance.

The role involves liaising with authorities, preparing technical reports, mentoring staff, reviewing submittals, and delivering execution plans with professional architectural seals as required. Strong leadership and communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Architecture is required.
• Minimum 15 years of post-graduate architectural experience.
• Membership/registration with an internationally recognized architectural body.
• Strong knowledge of architectural principles, codes, standards and industry regulations.
• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and other architectural design applications.
• Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Proven ability to manage relationships with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Architect to join our team! In this role you will get to lead architectural design development, multidisciplinary coordination, stakeholder engagement, and technical delivery for major infrastructure projects.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead architectural conceptualization, design development, detailing, and coordination activities.

• Review architectural designs and coordinate with other disciplines to ensure constructability and compliance.

• Liaise with local authorities, secure approvals and NOCs, and incorporate regulatory requirements into project designs.

• Prepare technical reports, presentations, and design justifications for clients, stakeholders, and authorities.

• Supervise and mentor architects and CAD operators, supporting their professional development.

• Review contractor submissions, shop drawings, and resolve site-related technical issues in a timely manner.

• Prepare staffing estimates and project execution plans.

• Provide professional architectural seal and signature when required by statute or contract.

• Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and industry best practices.

• Perform other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

• Bachelor's Degree in Architecture from a recognized institution.

• Minimum 15 years of post-graduate architectural experience.

• Membership and/or registration with an internationally recognized architectural body.

• Strong knowledge of architectural principles, practices, codes, standards, and industry regulations.

• Proficiency in 2D and 3D CAD software and other architectural design applications.

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications. Excellent communication, presentation, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

• Proven ability to manage relationships with clients, stakeholders, and multidisciplinary teams.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

• Postgraduate qualification in Architecture or a related discipline.

• Previous Rail and/or Metro project experience.

• Experience working on large-scale infrastructure and transportation projects.

• Demonstrated leadership and team management capabilities.
