Qanoniah قانونية is expanding its AI team in Makkah and seeks a Senior AI Engineer to scale the Arabic legal AI assistant for Saudi clients. You will ship production features powered by LLMs, agents, and RAG within a fast-paced startup environment.

Focus areas include multi-agent systems, retrieval-augmented pipelines, and fine-tuning on Arabic legal data, with emphasis on safety and cost efficiency. You will collaborate with a growing team to deliver impactful, enterprise-grade AI solutions.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in AI/ML with focus on LLMs, Generative AI and Agents.
• Proven production AI systems delivery, not just notebooks.
• Strong Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face).

Responsabilités

• Build end-to-end AI features powered by LLMs and agent workflows.
• Develop multi-agent systems with tool use, planning and autonomous tasks.
• Design and optimize Arabic legal content retrieval pipelines (full-text, vector search, re-ranking).
• Fine-tune and benchmark foundation models for legal use cases.
• Integrate custom tools, skills, and MCPs into agent workflows.

The Role

We're expanding our AI team and looking for a Senior AI Engineer to help scale the next generation of our AI Legal Assistant. You'll ship production features powered by LLMs, Agents, and RAG to top-tier Saudi clients - working on one of the most rewarding domains in AI: Arabic legal intelligence.

Key Responsibilities

• Build and ship end-to-end AI features powered by LLMs and agentic workflows.
• Develop multi-agent systems with tool use, planning, and autonomous task execution.
• Design and optimize retrieval pipelines tailored to Arabic legal content (full-text search, vector search, re-ranking, etc).
• Fine-tune and benchmark foundation models (Qwen, OSS, GLM, etc) for legal use cases.
• Integrate custom tools, skills, and MCPs into the agent workflows.
• Ensure production quality: accuracy, latency, cost, and safety.

What We're Looking For

• 3-5 years in AI/ML engineering with strong focus on LLMs, Generative AI, and Agents.
• Proven track record of shipping production AI systems - not just prototypes or jupyter notebooks.
• Strong Python and modern AI frameworks (PyTorch, Hugging Face, vLLM, SGLang, TensorRT, etc).
• Hands-on with agent patterns (ReAct, tool use, multi-agent) and agent and provider SDKs.
• Solid experience with retrieval methods and vector databases (Pinecone, Weaviate, Milvus, FAISS).
• Familiarity with fine-tuning (LoRA, QLoRA), cloud AI services (AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP, etc), and MLOps basics.
• Fluent in Arabic and English.
• Based in or willing to relocate to Makkah.

Nice to Have: Arabic NLP, legal-tech experience, MCP integrations, LangSmith/LangFuse.
