Job summary

noon is seeking a Cyber Security Engineer to help us maintain secure and scalable systems across our growing digital ecosystem in the Middle East. You will work with technology and risk teams to embed security into everything we build.

You will develop secure back-end logic for web and mobile apps, perform threat modeling, and design data models with a strong emphasis on security, collaborating across product and engineering teams to ship safe, reliable software.

Qualifications

• Solid understanding of cybersecurity principles, best practices, and attack vectors.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, HTTP, and secure coding practices.
• Knowledge of MySQL and server-side Python in secure contexts.
• Familiarity with DevOps/DevSecOps, including CI/CD, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Strong communication skills and ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• 0-2 years in cybersecurity.

Responsibilities

• Develop secure back-end logic for web and mobile applications
• Work closely with product and engineering teams to ensure secure integrations
• Perform threat modeling for new products and features
• Design and implement secure data models using relational databases
• Build scalable, high-quality code with strong security practices
• Collaborate with stakeholders to design, debug, and enhance secure solutions
