The ideal candidate has 8+ years in systems administration, at least 2 years in a managerial/advisory capacity, and hands-on experience with Windows/Linux servers, cloud platforms, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery.

Responsibilities

• Lead admin and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization, and cloud.
• Monitor performance, availability, capacity, and reliability of infrastructure.
• Implement IT security, patching, firewall, and vulnerability management practices.
• Manage backups and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Automate admin tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Lead infra projects and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior IT staff.

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Systems Administrator – Manager / Advisor to lead and support our IT infrastructure in Riyadh. This role combines hands‑on systems administration with technical leadership, strategic guidance, infrastructure management, and team mentorship.

The ideal candidate will have strong experience across enterprise systems, cloud infrastructure, virtualization, security, and disaster recovery, with the ability to lead infrastructure initiatives and provide effective technical direction.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the administration and maintenance of Windows and Linux servers, virtualization platforms, and cloud environments.
• Monitor system performance, availability, capacity, and overall infrastructure reliability.
• Implement and maintain IT security, patch management, firewall, and vulnerability management practices.
• Manage backup solutions and disaster recovery strategies to ensure business continuity.
• Automate administrative and infrastructure processes using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
• Lead infrastructure projects and troubleshoot complex technical issues.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to junior IT team members.
• Maintain accurate system documentation, technical procedures, and performance reports.
• Collaborate with IT and business teams to support infrastructure improvements and technology initiatives.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in systems administration, including 2+ years in a managerial or advisory capacity.
• Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux environments.
• Experience with AWS or Azure cloud infrastructure.
• Strong knowledge of VMware or Hyper‑V.
• Solid understanding of networking, cybersecurity, backup, and disaster recovery.
• Proficiency in PowerShell or Bash.
• Strong leadership, communication, analytical, and problem‑solving skills.
• Relevant certifications such as AWS, VCP, RHCE, MCSE, or ITIL are an advantage.
