Position Summary

Sales Manager lead a sales team by providing guidance, training, and mentorship, setting sales quotas and goals, creating sales plans, analysing data, assigning sales territories and building their team. Providing professional development for their teams and setting weekly, monthly, or quarterly goals based on the team's performance to date.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team.
  • Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence.
  • Own recruiting, objectives setting, coaching and performance monitoring of sales representatives.
  • Build and promote strong, long-lasting customer relationships by partnering with them and understanding their needs.
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team.
  • Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status.
  • Overseeing local and regional sales, promotions, and campaigns.
  • Planning and directing the hiring and training of new Sales Representatives.
  • Directing and coordinating all sales activities locally and regionally.
  • Preparing sales budgets and projections and approving expenditures.
  • Tracking and analyzing sales statistics based on key quantitative metrics.
  • Handling and resolving customer complaints regarding a product or service.
  • Setting discount rates and determining price schedules.
  • Advising distributors and dealers on policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Serving as the face of the organization to internal and external partners.
  • Making data-informed decisions to drive performance and resource allocation.
  • Developing and maintaining relationships with key clients.

  • Completes sales operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; and following up on work results.
  • Maintains sales staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees.
  • Maintains national sales staff work results by counselling and disciplining employees, and planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
  • Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, establishing personal networks, and participating in professional societies.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Provide detailed and accurate sales forecasts.
  • Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
  • Foster a competitive yet collaborative team environment.
