Job summary

Al Rugaib Holding Company is seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join our contracting and construction team in Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on implementing and monitoring HSE policies on construction sites to ensure compliance with local regulations and project safety standards.

You will promote a strong safety culture, conduct risk assessments, lead toolbox talks, and oversee training, inspections, and incident investigations to protect personnel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in construction site safety.
• NEBOSH IGC, OSHA, IOSH or equivalent mandatory.
• Strong knowledge of local HSE regulations and international safety standards.
• Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
• Good communication and leadership skills.
• Ability to conduct safety training and toolbox talks.
• Proficiency in MS Office and safety reporting systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement and enforce company HSE policies and procedures on site.
• Conduct regular site inspections to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are taken.
• Prepare and review risk assessments, RAMS, and safety plans.
• Ensure compliance with local authority regulations and project safety requirements.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox talks, and awareness training for workers and staff.
• Monitor the use of PPE and ensure proper safety practices.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses; prepare detailed reports and recommend preventive measures.
• Maintain safety records, logs, and documentation as required.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and subcontractors to ensure safe work practices.
• Participate in emergency response planning and drills.
