Job summary

Total Safety EMEA Ras Al Khair is seeking a proactive Safety Coach to lead HSE compliance at Ras Al Khair, Saudi Arabia. The role involves hands-on exposure to SAP SuccessFactors projects and enforcing safety rules on site.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years in mining/heavy industry, NEBOSH IGC, and strong reporting skills. English required; Arabic preferred. This contract role offers field work with occasional shifts and emergencies preparedness.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field.
• NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory).
• IOSH / OSHA (Preferred).
• 3–5 years of experience as a Safety Officer in mining, heavy industry, construction or related environments.

Responsibilities

• Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site safety rules.
• Monitor contractor and employee adherence to safety standards.
• Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification and risk assessments.
• Report, investigate, and document incidents including accidents and near misses; support RCA.
• Deliver toolbox talks, safety inductions, and safety briefings; conduct trainings.
• Prepare daily, weekly and monthly HSE reports; maintain records of PTWs, JSA/JHA and audits.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities. Health & Safety Compliance. Enforce HSE policies, procedures, and site safety rules. Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, Saudi Civil Defense, and relevant regulations. Monitor contractor and employee adherence to safety standards. Site Safety Monitoring. Conduct daily site inspections, hazard identification, and risk assessments. Monitor high-risk activities such as:. Confined space entry. Hot work. Working at height. Heavy equipment & lifting operations. Stop unsafe acts and conditions immediately. Incident Management. Qualifications & Experience. Education. Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Safety, Engineering, or related field. Certifications (Mandatory / Preferred). NEBOSH IGC (Mandatory). IOSH / OSHA (Preferred). First Aid & Fire Fighting Certificates. Confined Space / Work at Height (Preferred). Experience. Minimum 3–5 years experience as a Safety Officer in:. Mining. Heavy industry. Construction or industrial projects. Prior experience in mining or similar environments is an advantage. Skills & Competencies. Strong knowledge of HSE regulations and mining safety standards. Ability to identify hazards and implement controls effectively. Good communication skills (English mandatory, Arabic preferred). Report writing and documentation skills.
