Job summary

Parsons Corporation in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks a Senior MEP Engineer - Roads and Tunnels to lead technical oversight of mechanical, electrical, and systems for roads, tunnels, utilities, and infrastructure packages. You will support PMCM delivery, conduct design assurance, review tunnel systems, coordinate interfaces, and drive safety, quality, and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a minimum of 6 years in MEP on large-scale projects, Chartered status, and strong experience with tunnel MEP

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 years of progressive MEP engineering experience on large-scale roads, tunnels, utilities, or infrastructure projects.
• Chartered Engineer status or equivalent internationally recognized registration is required.
• Demonstrated experience with tunnel MEP systems including ventilation, power, lighting, life safety, and control systems.
• Strong understanding of MEP interfaces with civil, ITS, utilities, and project controls.
• PMO/PMCM experience in an infrastructure delivery environment is preferred.
• Knowledge of NFPA, IEC, BS, EN, and local Saudi authority standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide MEP technical oversight and governance across roads, tunnels, utilities, structures, and related packages.
• Act as PMO focal point for MEP-related matters, aligning design consultants, contractors, and stakeholders.
• Review MEP designs for tunnel ventilation, power, lighting, life safety, drainage, SCADA, and control systems.
• Ensure design submissions, calculations, layouts, specs, drawings, and system integration meet requirements.
• Coordinate interfaces between MEP, civil, structural, ITS, and road disciplines.
• Lead design reviews, constructability assessments, and value engineering for MEP systems.
• Identify and mitigate MEP-related risks and delivery constraints at programme level.
• Support commissioning strategy, testing, operational readiness, and handover for critical systems.
• Liaise with authorities, utility providers, and regulators to secure approvals.
