Job summary

Trading and Development Partnership Riyadh seeks a Banks Accountant to manage payments, record banking transactions, reconcile bank balances and coordinate statutory requirements with the bank. The role covers payment execution, bank reconciliations, loan reporting, and communications with banks and stakeholders.

Responsibilities include developing payment plans, processing supplier payments, handling LC/ LG matters, and preparing monthly and ad-hoc financial reports for the treasury and GL

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
• 2-3 years of accounting experience preferred in the same industry.
• SOCPA membership is required.

Responsibilities

• Define payment execution banks and funds receipts with the Treasury Operations Manager for different projects or departments.
• Develop banks payment plan for vendors payments, to be approved by the Treasury Operations Manager.
• Execute approved suppliers’ payments via internet banking/manual forms.
• Obtain payment receipts and circulate them internally or to vendors when needed.
• Handle the LGs and LCs applications with banks and stakeholders.
• Ensure sufficient funds for loan installments payments and interest charges.
• Review installments and interest on bank statements versus treasury reports.
• Update loan reports based on statements and circulate monthly updates.
• Request/download bank account statements from banks/banking portals and perform bank reconciliations.
• Check variances and adjust records as needed.
• Create monthly closing journal entries related to bank expenses, FX differences, interest expense and loan installments.
• Communicate bank reconciliation variances with the Treasury Operations Manager.
• Handle cheque book management and related bank communications.
• Notify relevant teams if customer cheque is rejected.
• Prepare documentation for GL, external auditors, and tax reporting.
• Generate monthly Bank Reconciliation, Loan Utilization, and daily Bank Position reports.
• Generate ad-hoc Bank commission reports and seek savings opportunities.
• Comply with documented policies and procedures.
