Job summary

QatarYello in Saudi Arabia seeks a Senior Risk Manager to lead risk management for megaprojects. The role requires directing risk assessment activities, maintaining registers, and reporting to clients.

You will work with project teams and clients to identify opportunities, quantify risks, and ensure mitigation measures are effective, with strong English and deep knowledge of local contracting practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering.
• 15+ years of risk management experience in mega road/highway projects in KSA.
• Knowledge of Middle East design, contracts, and market conditions.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency with risk management software for recording and reporting.
• Strong English; Arabic a plus.

Responsibilities

• Identify and quantify project risks and define mitigation measures.
• Collaborate with project managers to spot opportunities and mitigations.
• Assess risks from design/construction changes and schedule slippages.
• Establish and maintain the project risk register.
• Prepare and deliver monthly risk reports to the client.
• Conduct risk assessments and audits to test mitigation effectiveness.
• Collaborate with disciplines for a cohesive risk approach.

• Handle day-to-day risk activities: identification, prioritization, monitoring.
• Liaise between consultant team and client on risk matters.

Job description

A multidisciplinary and integrated multinational organization, with more than 4,000 people working in over 130 countries.

• Provide direction and specialized assistance to the project for identifying project risks, quantification, levels of risks and mitigation measures.
• Work closely with project managers to recognize opportunities and mitigations to minimize risk exposure.
• Assess the risks associated with design and construction stage changes and schedule slippages.
• Stablish and oversee the project risks register to meet specific project requirements.
• Develop and deliver monthly risk reports to the client according to the PCM contract.
• Conduct regular risk assessments and audits to evaluate the efficiency of risk mitigation measures and compliance with relevant standards.
• Collaborate with other disciplines to ensure a cohesive approach to risk management.
• Engage with stakeholders to understand their expectations and ensure that risk management initiatives exceed their expectations.
• Undertake day-to-day risk management activities including identification, prioritization, register management, action planning and monitoring.
• Act as a liaison between the consultant project team and the client, he will handle all risk management matters and understand client requirements.
• Manage client expectations risk management related and ensure satisfaction.
• Facilitate and chair risk workshops with the Client, Consultant and Contractors.

A successful Risk Manager should have:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management or Civil Engineering
• over 15 years in risk management, particularly in mega road / highway construction projects in KSA.
• Knowledge of Middle East design and construction market, conditions of contract and contractual issues.
• Understanding of construction, design and engineering principles.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Savvy with specific risk management software for recording and reporting risks.
• Proficiency level of English language. Arabic Language is a plus.
