el Grocer - Online Grocery Delivery is seeking a Showroom Operations Lead to supervise the day-to-day activities of the showroom, motivate the retail sales team, and drive performance while upholding high standards of service and presentation.

The successful candidate will oversee inventory control, staff training, and customer briefings, ensuring an outstanding shopping experience and adherence to brand guidelines across all visual displays and procedures.

Purpose:To oversee the day-to-day operations of the showroom, ensure exceptional customer service, lead and motivate the retail sales team, and drive sales performance to achieve or exceed established sales targets while maintaining high operational standards and customer satisfaction.Responsibilities:

• Lead and motivate the retail team, drive sales performance, and maintain showroom standards to maximize customer satisfaction and achieve sales targets.
• Ensure that customers always receive exceptional service, address customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance, identifying areas for improvement.
• Oversee inventory control procedures, including stock replenishment, stocktaking, and maintaining accurate inventory records.
• Maintain the cleanliness, organization, and visual appearance of the store.
• Provide leadership and direction to retail staff, including sales associates and support personnel, fostering a positive and productive work environment conducive to high performance and team collaboration.
• Monitor and analyze sales performance metrics, such as conversion rates, average transaction value, and sales targets, and implement strategies to drive sales growth and achieve revenue goals.
• Lead by example in delivering exceptional customer service, resolving customer inquiries, concerns, and escalations promptly and effectively to ensure a positive shopping experience and foster customer loyalty.
• Conduct regular training sessions and coaching sessions for retail staff to enhance product knowledge, selling skills, and customer service techniques, empowering team members to deliver an elevated shopping experience.
• Oversee inventory levels and stock replenishment processes, ensuring adequate stock availability to meet customer demand while minimizing overstock and stockouts, and conducting regular stock audits to maintain accuracy.
• Ensure the showroom layout and visual merchandising displays are visually appealing, current, and aligned with brand standards, leveraging product knowledge and market trends to drive product visibility and sales.
• Implement and enforce operational procedures and policies, including opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and security protocols, to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Proactively engage with customers on the showroom floor, providing product recommendations, styling advice, and assistance to enhance the shopping experience and drive sales conversion.
• Provide regular feedback and performance evaluations to retail staff, recognizing achievements and addressing performance gaps, and implementing corrective actions as necessary to ensure continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with the Retail Manager to coordinate promotions, events, and marketing initiatives, ensuring alignment with sales objectives and maximizing promotional impact.

Experience and Requirements:

• Proven experience in retail sales, including a supervisory or leadership role within a retail environment.
• Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of retail professionals.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
• Knowledge of retail operations, including inventory management, sales techniques, and customer service best practices.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by the demands of the retail business.
