Job summary

Makkah Hypermarket in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is seeking a Receiving Incharge to oversee the receiving bay, verify deliveries against purchase orders, inspect items for quality and expiry, and ensure accurate GRN posting in the system.

The role requires coordinating with suppliers, drivers, and section heads, maintaining back-store organisation, FIFO compliance, and safe, efficient handling of goods, including cold-chain checks where needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in goods receiving, back-store or warehouse operations in hypermarkets, supermarkets or distribution centres.
• Ability to check invoices, purchase orders and delivery notes accurately.
• Familiar with GRN posting in inventory/ERP systems; barcode scanners are a plus.
• Knowledge of FIFO, expiry control and basic food-safety (HACCP) practices.

Responsibilities

• Receive all deliveries and verify quantities and items against purchase orders and invoices.
• Inspect goods for damage, quality, temperature and expiry dates before acceptance.
• Post goods received notes (GRN) and returns in the inventory system.
• Maintain cold-chain checks for chilled and frozen deliveries and record temperatures.
• Organise the receiving bay and back store with safe stacking and FIFO arrangement.
• Coordinate delivery schedules with suppliers, drivers and store section heads.
• Control shrinkage at the back door, supervise loaders and follow security procedures.
• Keep receiving records and supplier documents complete and up to date.
