Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a frontend developer to join our Riyadh team. You will build production-grade web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and create reusable components that scale with product needs.

You will integrate with REST APIs and real-time systems (WebSockets, Socket.IO, RabbitMQ), ensure robust testing with Jest and Playwright, and collaborate across product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality UI experiences.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of professional frontend development experience.
• Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
• Hands-on experience building applications with React.
• Good understanding of TypeScript and type-safe development.
• Strong knowledge of React concepts: components, hooks, state, rendering, lifecycle.
• Experience with APIs and asynchronous data handling.
• Knowledge of React Query/TanStack Query and Redux/Redux Toolkit.
• Experience with Jest and Playwright for testing.
• Familiarity with real-time frontend architectures (WebSockets/Socket.IO).
• Basic understanding of RabbitMQ and event-driven systems.
• Ability to debug and write clean, maintainable code.
• Willingness to learn and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain production-grade web apps using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
• Develop reusable, maintainable frontend components.
• Transform product requirements into intuitive, responsive UIs.
• Integrate frontends with REST APIs and real-time services.
• Create real-time experiences with WebSockets/Socket.IO.
• Work with event-driven flows linked to RabbitMQ.
• Handle real-time updates, reconnections, and UI-state sync.
• Manage server state with React Query; use Redux when needed.
• Write unit and integration tests with Jest; end-to-end tests with Playwright.
• Participate in code reviews, identify regressions and production issues.
• Debug systematically and focus on root causes.
• Collaborate with frontend/backend engineers, QA, PMs, and designers.
• Leverage AI coding tools to research, prototype, implement, and test.
• Take ownership from requirements through production delivery.
