Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a frontend developer to join our Riyadh team. You will build production-grade web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and create reusable components that scale with product needs.

You will integrate with REST APIs and real-time systems (WebSockets, Socket.IO, RabbitMQ), ensure robust testing with Jest and Playwright, and collaborate across product, design, and QA to deliver high-quality UI experiences.

Qualifications

0-2 years of professional frontend development experience.
Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals.
Hands-on experience building applications with React.
Good understanding of TypeScript and type-safe development.
Strong knowledge of React concepts: components, hooks, state, rendering, lifecycle.
Experience with APIs and asynchronous data handling.
Knowledge of React Query/TanStack Query and Redux/Redux Toolkit.
Experience with Jest and Playwright for testing.
Familiarity with real-time frontend architectures (WebSockets/Socket.IO).
Basic understanding of RabbitMQ and event-driven systems.
Ability to debug and write clean, maintainable code.
Willingness to learn and collaborate effectively.

Responsibilities

Build and maintain production-grade web apps using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Develop reusable, maintainable frontend components.
Transform product requirements into intuitive, responsive UIs.
Integrate frontends with REST APIs and real-time services.
Create real-time experiences with WebSockets/Socket.IO.
Work with event-driven flows linked to RabbitMQ.
Handle real-time updates, reconnections, and UI-state sync.
Manage server state with React Query; use Redux when needed.
Write unit and integration tests with Jest; end-to-end tests with Playwright.
Participate in code reviews, identify regressions and production issues.
Debug systematically and focus on root causes.
Collaborate with frontend/backend engineers, QA, PMs, and designers.
Leverage AI coding tools to research, prototype, implement, and test.
Take ownership from requirements through production delivery.

Build and maintain production-grade web applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript
Develop reusable, maintainable, and scalable frontend components
Turn product requirements and designs into clean, intuitive, and responsive user experiences
Integrate frontend applications with REST APIs and real-time communication services
Build real-time user experiences with WebSockets / Socket.IO
Work with event-driven flows connected to RabbitMQ and backend messaging systems
Handle real-time updates, reconnection scenarios, error states, and UI-state synchronization
Manage server state using React Query / TanStack Query
Manage complex client-side state using Redux / Redux Toolkit when appropriate
Improve frontend architecture, performance, code organization, and maintainability
Write unit and integration tests using Jest
Build and maintain end-to-end tests using Playwright

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a closely related field
0-2 years of professional frontend development experience
Strong understanding of JavaScript fundamentals
Hands-on experience building applications with React
Good understanding of TypeScript and type-safe development
Good understanding of React fundamentals, including components, hooks, state management, rendering, and component lifecycle
Experience integrating frontend applications with APIs and handling asynchronous data
Familiarity with React Query / TanStack Query and Redux / Redux Toolkit
Understanding of frontend testing and experience with Jest and Playwright
Familiarity with real-time frontend architectures using WebSockets / Socket.IO
Basic understanding of message queues and event-driven systems, especially RabbitMQ
Understanding of reconnection, duplicate events, stale data, race conditions, and UI-state synchronization
Solid understanding of HTML, CSS, responsive design, and browser fundamentals
Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
Ability to debug problems rather than only work around them
Ability to write clean, readable, and maintainable code
Practical experience using AI tools to improve software engineering productivity
Strong willingness to learn and continuously improve
Good communication and teamwork skills
