Job summary

Hitachi Rail is seeking a Contract Manager in Saudi Arabia to oversee the full lifecycle of contractual activities for large-scale railway signaling projects. You will safeguard commercial interests, ensure compliance, manage claims and variations, and advise project leadership on risk and dispute avoidance.

The role requires experience with complex EPC and railway contracts, strong negotiation and stakeholder management, and collaboration across legal, finance, and procurement teams.

Qualifications

• 3–10 years of professional contract management experience in multinational companies, preferably large infrastructure or railway projects.
• Proven experience managing EPC, turnkey, or railway signaling contracts in international projects.
• Track record in contract administration, claims management, and dispute resolution.
• Experience with public sector clients and large infrastructure contracts within Saudi Arabia.
• Strong understanding of project delivery models and commercial risk management.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract management from award through completion and close-out.
• Ensure compliance with contractual terms, policies, and legal frameworks.
• Provide commercial guidance to project leadership and teams.
• Identify and mitigate contractual risks and opportunities.
• Manage correspondence, variations, and claims negotiations.
• Support claims and dispute resolution strategies and settlement processes.
• Monitor performance and flag contractual risks early.
• Coordinate with legal, finance, procurement, and PMO for governance.
• Oversee subcontracts and supplier contracts alignment with main contract.
• Contribute to commercial reporting, forecasting, and risk assessments.
