Job summary

Egis is seeking an experienced leader to oversee rail operations and maintenance across infrastructure assets in Saudi Arabia. You will drive safety, regulatory compliance, and operational excellence while managing budgets and stakeholder communications.

The role requires extensive hands-on management of maintenance schedules, handovers, and team leadership, with a focus on reducing downtime and improving asset performance in a complex rail network.

Qualifications

• 15+ years' experience in rail operations and maintenance management.
• Proven experience managing asset handovers and transition projects.
• Strong people management and team leadership skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of rail infrastructure systems and maintenance protocols.
• Excellent organizational and time-keeping abilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all operations and maintenance activities for rail infrastructure, ensuring safety standards, regulatory requirements, and operational excellence.
• Develop and implement maintenance schedules and preventative programmes to optimise asset performance and minimise downtime.
• Lead and manage handover processes for rail systems, assets, and facilities, ensuring seamless transitions and thorough documentation.
• Direct and mentor maintenance teams, providing guidance on technical procedures, safety protocols, and performance expectations.
• Coordinate with internal departments and external contractors to ensure timely completion of maintenance and operational tasks.
• Establish and maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, asset conditions, and handover documentation for compliance and audit purposes.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and implement process improvements to enhance productivity and reduce costs.
• Manage stakeholder communications regarding operational status, maintenance schedules, and handover milestones.
• Ensure compliance with Saudi Arabian rail regulations, industry standards, and organisational policies.
• Prepare and manage budgets for maintenance operations and resource allocation.
• Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation strategies for operational and maintenance-related challenges.
• Facilitate induction and training programmes for new operational and maintenance personnel.
