Job summary

Gateway Facilities seeks a Safety & Quality Officer to ensure effective implementation and monitoring of SMS and QMS, compliant with GACA requirements, across Riyadh and other locations. You will oversee safety reporting, risk management, audits, and culture promotion.

Responsibilities include inspections, CAPA management, record-keeping, and preparing reports for management and authorities. Strong English and aviation regulatory knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Quality, Engineering, or related discipline.
  • 2–3 years of experience in safety, quality, or compliance in aviation or regulated environments.
  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

  • Provide Quality and Safety coverage from the assigned base location at Riyadh Airport.
  • Extend Quality and Safety support to Dammam Airport and designated MODON industrial warehouses in Khamis Mushait, Hail, and Madinah through planned monthly visits (one working day per location).
  • Ensure consistent implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of Safety and Quality requirements across assigned locations.
  • Ensure compliance with GACA regulations, company policies, and applicable aviation safety and quality standards.
  • Support the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Promote a positive safety and quality culture across Gateway Facilities.

Job description

Basic Function - Safety & Quality Officer

The Safety & Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and continuous monitoring of the Safety Management System (SMS) and Quality Management System (QMS) at Gateway Facilities, in full compliance with GACA regulatory requirements. This includes oversight of safety reporting, risk management, compliance monitoring, audits, and the promotion of a strong safety and quality culture.

Key Responsibilities - Safety & Quality Officer

General
  • Provide Quality and Safety coverage from the assigned base location at Riyadh Airport.
  • Extend Quality and Safety support to Dammam Airport and designated MODON industrial warehouses in Khamis Mushait, Hail, and Madinah through planned monthly visits (one working day per location).
  • Ensure consistent implementation, monitoring, and follow-up of Safety and Quality requirements across assigned locations.
  • Ensure compliance with GACA regulations, company policies, and applicable aviation safety and quality standards.

Planning
  • Participate in safety and quality planning activities, including objectives, programs, and performance indicators.
  • Assist in the development and maintenance of safety and quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions.
  • Support risk assessment and hazard identification activities.
Internal Control
  • Conduct internal inspections and compliance monitoring in line with approved inspection plans.
  • Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely and effective closure.
  • Verify compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.
Administration of Safety & Quality Issues
  • Manage safety reports, non-conformities, and quality findings.
  • Coordinate investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes.
  • Maintain safety and quality records and documentation.
Reports
  • Prepare and submit safety and quality reports, statistics, and performance summaries to management and relevant authorities as required.
  • Track safety and quality trends and provide recommendations for improvement.
Environment, Health & Safety (EHS)
  • Support the implementation of EHS policies and procedures.
  • Monitor workplace health, safety, and environmental compliance.
  • Promote awareness of EHS requirements and best practices.
Business Continuity
  • Support the development, implementation, and maintenance of business continuity and emergency response plans.
  • Participate in drills, exercises, and post-exercise evaluations.
  • Ensure safety and quality considerations are integrated into continuity planning.

Qualifications - Safety & Quality Officer

Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline; or
  • Higher Secondary School Certificate with relevant professional training.
Experience
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in safety, quality, or compliance functions within the aviation or other regulated environments.
  • Demonstrated experience in supporting or implementing SMS and QMS in line with GACA requirements.
Language
  • Fluency in English (spoken and written).
