Job summary

Gateway Facilities is seeking a Safety and Quality Officer to ensure effective implementation and continuous monitoring of the SMS and QMS in full compliance with GACA requirements. The role covers Riyadh and visits to Dammam, Khamis Mushait, Hail, and Madinah to promote a strong safety and quality culture.

You will participate in safety planning, risk assessment, and internal inspections, while supporting CAPA processes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Quality, Engineering or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in safety, quality or compliance in regulated environments.

Responsibilities

• Provide Quality and Safety coverage from Riyadh base; extend support to multiple locations with planned visits.
• Implement and monitor SMS and QMS in compliance with GACA requirements.
• Conduct internal inspections and follow up on corrective actions.
• Manage safety reports, non-conformities and investigations; maintain records.
• Prepare safety and quality reports and communicate trends and improvements.
• Support EHS policy implementation and workplace safety initiatives.
• Assist in business continuity planning and drills.

Job description

Basic Function - Safety amp Quality Officer

The Safety amp Quality Officer is responsible for ensuring the effective implementation and continuous monitoring of the Safety Management System SMS and Quality Management System QMS at Gateway Facilities in full compliance with GACA regulatory requirements. This includes oversight of safety reporting risk management compliance monitoring audits and the promotion of a strong safety and quality culture.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and Quality Officer General

Provide Quality and Safety coverage from the assigned base location at Riyadh Airport. Extend Quality and Safety support to Dammam Airport and designated MODON industrial warehouses in Khamis Mushait Hail and Madinah through planned monthly visits, one working day per location. Ensure consistent implementation, monitoring and follow-up of Safety and Quality requirements across assigned locations. Ensure compliance with GACA regulations, company policies and applicable aviation safety and quality standards. Support the effective implementation and continuous improvement of the Safety Management System SMS and Quality Management System QMS. Promote a positive safety and quality culture across Gateway Facilities.

Planning

Participate in safety and quality planning activities including objectives, programs, and performance indicators. Assist in the development and maintenance of safety and quality manuals, procedures, and work instructions. Support risk assessment and hazard identification activities.

Internal Control

Conduct internal inspections and compliance monitoring in line with approved inspection plans. Monitor corrective and preventive actions to ensure timely and effective closure. Verify compliance with regulatory and organizational requirements.

Administration of Safety amp Quality Issues

Manage safety reports, non-conformities and quality findings. Coordinate investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action processes. Maintain safety and quality records and documentation.

Reports

Prepare and submit safety and quality reports statistics and performance summaries to management and relevant authorities as required. Track safety and quality trends and provide recommendations for improvement.

Environment Health amp Safety EHS

Support the implementation of EHS policies and procedures. Monitor workplace health safety and environmental compliance. Promote awareness of EHS requirements and best practices.

Business Continuity

Support the development implementation and maintenance of business continuity and emergency response plans. Participate in drills exercises and post-exercise evaluations. Ensure safety and quality considerations are integrated into continuity planning.

Qualifications Safety & Quality Officer

Education: Bachelor's degree in Aviation Management, Safety Management, Quality, Engineering, or a related discipline; or Higher Secondary School Certificate with relevant professional training.

Experience: Minimum of 2 3 years of experience in safety, quality, or compliance functions within the aviation or other regulated environments. Demonstrated experience in supporting or implementing SMS and QMS in line with GACA requirements.

Language: Fluency in English (spoken and written). Note: Industry experience wherever applicable.
