SAMSUNG E&A, a specialized EPC company, seeks a QA/QC Inspector to plan and control quality activities across disciplines. You will participate in inspections, prepare ITPs, and ensure compliance with project standards.

This role requires coordinating with subcontractors, reviewing reports, and supporting corrective actions at the site. Ideal candidates have an overall 5 years in inspection, with 3 years in inspection specialty, including knowledge of IBC/ACI codes and field testing.

Qualifications

  • High School graduate or higher; familiar with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications.
  • Overall experience of 5 years; 3 years in Inspection Specialty; 2 years in Contract Scope of Work.

Responsibilities

Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

  • Responsible for planning and controlling quality activities in given particular disciplines in accordance with quality management system established by QC Supervisor / Manager.
  • Plan, control and perform inspections and tests on discipline.

Roles and Responsibilities.

  • Prepare Quality Procedure and Inspection Test Plan
  • Manage work performance on particular discipline as per applicable work process.
  • Coordinate and monitor with other discipline required to provide corrective action.
  • Manage work activity through system management tool (FMCS, SCMS)
  • Managing and performing inspection of Civil discipline.
  • Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
  • Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
  • Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
  • Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
  • Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP and managing Matrix).
  • Control NCRs (Non-Conformance Report) to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
  • Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
  • Carry out QC Supervisor’s responsibility in their absence.
  • Control quality violations through regular tool box talk with the construction team.
  • Review and track material submittals required for Civil Definable Features of Work prior to Preparatory Meetings.
  • Conduct Preparatory Meetings with Subcontractors related to Civil Definable Features of Work.
  • Inspect incoming material deliveries by confirming specifications and compliance with approved submittals, conduct visual and measurement tests in conjunction with the onsite logistics team.
  • Reject and facilitate the return of unacceptable materials.
  • Ensure to apply lessons learnt and proper preventive action conducted.
  • Monitor and inspect specific Civil related activities such as Compressive Strength Test, Soil Compaction, on site-off site laboratory test if required.

Qualifications

Key Requirement

  • Aramco experience is needed.
  • Additionally, with CBT Pass is preferred for QC inspector.
  • If you have SAP No. and pass the CBT, please mention it in your CV.

Education and Experience

  • Inspector shall be a High School graduate, or higher; shall be fully conversant with applicable Industry Standards and Specifications; and shall perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.
  • Overall Experience of 5 years.
  • Experience in Inspection Specialty : 3 years
  • Experience in Contract Scope of Work : 2 years
  • Inspector shall demonstrate a thorough working knowledge of recognized building codes such as the International Building Code (IBC-2009 and ACI 530.1-08) or equivalent standards.
  • As applicable for the WORK, the candidate shall demonstrate thorough knowledge and proven ability in construction techniques with emphasis on soil mechanics, foundations, retaining walls, structural steel, masonry, building interiors, building finishes, roof systems, and asphalt.

Knowledge

  • Technical knowledge in particular discipline and familiar with related international codes and standards.
  • Investigate and analyze quality issues based on related international codes and standards so that suggesting resolution.
  • Skills to establish process and system to utilize FMCS and SCMS enabling systematic quality control and conduct training for its operating.
