Job summary

SAMSUNG E&A is seeking a QC Inspector for the Fadhili, Saudi Arabia project within the QAQC department. The role focuses on civil discipline inspections across road, infrastructure, piling, and related works, including document reviews and client coordination.

Requirements include a high school graduate with about 5 years of inspection experience, Aramco exposure, CBT preferred, and familiarity with ITP/MAR processes, inspection reports, and NCR handling.

Qualifications

• Inspector shall be a High School graduate, or higher.
• Overall 5 years of experience with Inspection specialty 3 years.
• Ability to perform a variety of inspection functions with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manage and perform inspection of Civil discipline.
• Generate and respond to client RFIs with proper notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
• Prepare/review ITPs, MARs and related quality documents from subcontractors.
• Prepare/review/approve inspection reports and maintain records.
• Control inspection status using inspection matrix or equivalent tools.
• Coordinate inspections with client and ensure compliance with International Codes.
• Carry out QC supervisor duties in absence of supervisor.
• Conduct toolbox talks to reduce quality violations.

Job Description

General Characteristics (Job Summary)

• LBE, MOM, INCR and Overall Civil activities monitoring/controlling / Laboratory Civil Testing / Batch plant inspection.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Managing and performing inspection of Civil discipline.
• Generate client Requests For Inspection (RFI) where required providing sufficient notice for hold, witness and inspection points.
• Prepare / Review the following Quality procedure documents submitted by the Subcontractors such are Inspection Test Plan (ITP), Material Approval Request (MAR).
• Prepare / Review / Approve the related inspection reports where inspection results are recorded.
• Controlling inspection status by using systematic tools such as inspection matrix.
• Setting and applying practical inspection process of particular discipline based on Project requirements and International Codes (providing ITP & managing Matrix).
• Control NCRs to be closed out within the due date and supporting to prepare Corrective Action Plan properly.
• Performing and coordinating inspection with client.
• Monitor overall civil activities which includes at Infrastructure & Roads, Flyover Bridge & Tunnel, Asphalt and Concrete work, Underground Utilities, Storm water & Sewerage Network, Piling (Bored Pile & Stone Column), Concrete Coating, Earth works, Tank and Mechanical Foundations, Substation & Control Building, Material Testing Laboratory (Soil, Asphalt, Concrete).

Key Requirement

• Aramco experience is needed.
• Additionally, with CBT Pass is preferred for QC inspector.

Knowledge

• Technical knowledge and familiarity with related international codes and standards in particular discipline.
• Able to check that suitable and appropriate inspection and test tools are used.
• Investigate and analyze nonconformities and observations and figuring out solutions.
• Review and justify the Inspection requests and technical reports.
• Computer literacy and ability to utilize computer to access data, maintain records, generate reports, etc. and any project specific engineering and construction relevant software.
