Job summary

Shapoorji Pallonji Mideast LLC. in Riyadh seeks a Mechanical QA/QC engineer to implement the approved QMS and project quality plans for mechanical works.

You will monitor day-to-day activities, coordinate inspections for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems, and ensure materials and records meet ISO 9001 standards. This role requires strong documentation skills and effective communication with contractors and clients.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 6-8 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC in MEP construction.
• Experience with HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.

Responsibilities

• Implement approved Quality Management System (QMS) and project quality plans for mechanical works.
• Monitor day-to-day mechanical construction activities to ensure quality compliance.
• Coordinate inspections for HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting and mechanical systems; prepare and follow up IRs.

Responsibilities

Implement approved Quality Management System QMS and project quality plans for mechanical worksEnsure mechanical activities are carried out in accordance with approved ITPs procedures and method statementsMonitor day-to-day mechanical construction activities to ensure quality complianceConduct and coordinate inspections for HVAC plumbing fire fighting and mechanical systemsPrepare submit and follow up Inspection Requests IRs with consultants and clientsWitness tests including pressure testing duct leakage testing flushing hydrostatic testing and functional testingReview material submittals and ensure approved materials are used on-siteMaintain quality records including IRs test reports checklists and calibration recordsTrack and close Non-Conformance Reports NCRs observations and corrective actionsEnsure compliance with contract documents drawings specifications and authority requirementsVerify mechanical installations comply with applicable standards ASHRAE SMACNA NFPA BS local regulations Support authority inspections and approvalsCoordinate QA QC activities with construction teams subcontractors and consultantsProvide guidance to site teams on quality requirements and workmanship standardsParticipate in quality meetings and site walkthroughsSupport pre-commissioning and commissioning activitiesVerify completion of mechanical systems prior to handoverAssist in preparation and review of as-built drawings and O M manuals

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering6-8 years of experience in mechanical QA/QC roles within MEP constructionStrong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systemsExperience in testing, commissioning, and handover documentationGood knowledge of QA/QC procedures and ISO 9001 requirementsStrong attention to detail and documentation skillsGood communication and coordination abilities
