Job description

Work Location: Dammam (Project Sites), Saudi Arabia

Key Accountabilities
  • Proficient in understanding all project contract documents, starting from the tender phase to project closure.
  • Engage in daily on-site surveillance, identifying, documenting, and communicating any deficiencies to the team to prevent recurrence.
  • Coordinate and ensure subcontractors adhere to their Inspection and Test Plans (ITP), oversee inspections carried out by consultants, and maintain proper records.
  • Develop a comprehensive inspection schedule aligned with the project timeline.
  • Conduct inspections in collaboration with the execution team, consultants, and subcontractors.
  • Verify material inspections in cooperation with subcontractors and consultants to ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Responsible for preparing and submitting various schedules and submittals, such as method statements, material submittals, and prequalification documents.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements by overseeing third-party inspections and tests and reporting their outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of all submittals.
  • Possess a solid knowledge of Civil works, including structural, concrete, and infrastructure activities.
  • Should have a fair knowledge of MEP works for the areas responsible.
  • Collaborate with the relevant execution team to implement planned corrective actions for each Non-Conformance Report (NCR) and identified deficiencies. Maintain records of root cause analyses and lessons learned.
  • Analyze the status of Quality Assurance and Quality Control (QA QC) activities, prepare trend reports that encompass submittals, inspections, tests, identified deficiencies, and NCRs, and communicate these findings to the QA QC Manager and project team.
  • Conduct internal inspections to verify the implementation and effectiveness of preventive actions for site NCRs and deficiencies identified through the process.
  • Possess knowledge of local and international standards, including but not limited to the Saudi building code, SASO, ASTM, ACI, AISC, and local authority regulations and requirements.
  • Review the status of weekly and monthly deliverables, including planned versus actual progress and resubmissions, and report any irrelevant rejections or comments that may lead to rework on all project QA QC documentation, such as work inspections and material inspections.
  • Possess a comprehensive understanding of project closeout procedures and facilitate the submission of closeout deliverables.
  • Coordinate and conduct snagging and de snagging inspections with subcontractors, the site team, and consultants.
  • Lead and guide the inspection team to achieve the project goals.
Knowledge, Skills, and Experience

We Are Looking For:

  • Minimum experience of 9 years as a Quality Control Engineer.
  • Residential project experience with good knowledge in infrastructure works.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Middle East experience is preferable.
