Job summary

NEW Alfa International is seeking an experienced QA/QC Lead to oversee quality systems for major civil and architectural works in Saudi Arabia. You will develop and manage PQP, ITPs, and checklists, review IFC drawings and submittals, and lead inspections with consultants and clients in a fast-paced project environment.

The role requires 7–10 years in QA/QC on large building schemes, especially hospitals or high-rise projects, with strong knowledge of ISO 9001 and documentation control.

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of QA/QC for major building projects, preferably hospitals or high-rises.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management and QC documentation control.
• Experience reviewing IFC drawings, material submittals, and method statements.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ITPs and QA/QC checklists.
• Review drawings, submittals, and method statements for code compliance.
• Lead inspections, surveillance audits, and joint quality walkthroughs.
• Plan and witness tests for concrete, rebar, finishes, and facade systems.
• Raise and close NCRs/CARs with corrective actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors to verify material compliance and mock-ups.
• Maintain complete QA/QC documentation and support turnover handover.
• Prepare weekly/monthly QA/QC reports and dashboards for management.

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Project Quality Plan (PQP), ITPs, Method Statements, and QA/QC checklists for civil and architectural works.
• Review IFC drawings, material submittals, and method statements for compliance with project specifications, Saudi Building Code, and international standards.
• Conduct and lead inspections, surveillance audits, and joint quality walkthroughs with consultants and clients.
• Plan, witness, and document tests for concrete, rebar, waterproofing, finishes, faade systems, and other civil/architectural activities.
• Raise, track, and close NCRs, CARs, and observation reports with effective corrective and preventive actions.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to verify compliance of materials, mock‑ups, and trial works before execution.
• Maintain complete and traceable QA/QC documentation, ensuring alignment with project turnover and handover requirements.
• Prepare and present weekly/monthly QA/QC reports, KPIs, and quality dashboards to project management.

Skills & Competencies

• Strong technical knowledge of concrete works, rebar/post-tensioning, architectural finishes, and faade systems.
• Familiarity with international standards (ACI, ASTM, BS/EN, SBC) and healthcare project requirements (ICRA, fire/life safety).
• Proficient in QA/QC processes including ITP development, inspection coordination, NCR/CAR handling, and quality record control.
• Ability to read drawings, review BIM models, and coordinate civilarchitectural–MEP interfaces effectively.
• Excellent communication, reporting, and stakeholder management skills in a fast-paced project environment.

Experience Requirements

• 7–10 years of experience in QA/QC for major building projects, preferably hospitals or high-rise developments.
• Proven ability to manage quality controls, inspections, and testing activities for complex civil and architectural scopes.
• Prior experience working in Saudi Arabia or other GCC countries is strongly preferred.
• Strong background in ISO 9001 quality systems and construction QA/QC documentation control.
