Qualifications

  • Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related engineering discipline.
  • Saudi Aramco CBT Passed – mandatory.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience on Saudi Aramco projects as a Coating QC Inspector.
  • Strong knowledge of protective coatings, painting systems, inspection procedures and quality standards.
  • Ability to interpret coating specifications, engineering drawings and inspection documents.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect surface preparation activities including abrasive blasting and cleaning prior to coating application.
  • Monitor painting and coating activities to ensure compliance with approved specifications and inspection procedures.
  • Verify environmental conditions such as temperature, humidity, and dew point before coating application.
  • Inspect coating thickness, surface profile, adhesion, holiday testing, and curing requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with Saudi Aramco standards, project specifications, and international coating standards.
  • Review coating procedures, inspection reports, and quality documentation.
  • Coordinate with construction, QA/QC, and client representatives during inspections.
  • Monitor non-conformance reports (NCRs) and support corrective and preventive actions.
  • Prepare and maintain coating inspection reports and quality records.
  • Support internal audits, client inspections, and quality reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with HSE policies and quality management system requirements.
