Job summary

Flowserve Corporation in Saudi Arabia seeks a Quality and HSE Engineer to support quality assurance, inspections, and health, safety, and environmental activities within the Pump QRC. The candidate must have direct experience in pump OEM/QRC and report to the Quality Manager.

Responsibilities include inspection planning, ITP support, supplier qualification verification, NCR handling, and site HSE implementation. Travel and strong communication skills are required.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Engineering or related technical discipline is required.
• 7 years of relevant experience in pump OEM, repair, or rotating equipment environment.
• Thorough experience with API 610 and API 682.
• Lead Auditor 9001:2015 certification is MUST.

Responsibilities

• Perform and support inspections to verify conformance to drawings, procedures, specifications, and regulatory requirements.
• Support ITP and project quality plan per Flowserve requirements.
• Define and control project quality documentation for repairs, inspections, and final release.
• Perform dimensional, visual, painting, and welding inspections per procedures.
• Review supplier, welder, and NDE qualifications and ensure compliance.
• Approve supplier documentation and support inspections/approvals as required.
• Prepare test and inspection requirements including ITPs and procurement specs.
• Document non-conforming material and support NCR processing and resolution.
• Support internal quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards, laws, regulations, and customer requirements.
• Maintain records, inspection reports, quality logs, and release documents.
• Support operational excellence and high levels of customer service.

Quality and HSE Engineer is responsible for supporting and coordinating quality assurance, inspection, health, safety, and environmental activities within the Pump QRC. The right candidate MUST have direct experience in Pump's OEM/QRC field, and he should report directly to the Quality Manager.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Quality Responsibilities

• Perform and support documented inspections to verify conformance of parts, repairs, and assemblies to applicable drawings, procedures, specifications, and statutory/regulatory requirements.
• Support the Inspection Test Plan (ITP) and project quality plan in line with customer and Flowserve requirements.
• Define, coordinate, and control project quality documentation required for repairs, inspections, and final release.
• Perform dimensional, visual, painting, and welding inspections according to applicable procedures and acceptance criteria.
• Review and verify supplier, welder, and NDE personnel qualifications and ensure compliance with required standards.
• Review and approve supplier manufacturing and testing documents and support customer and third-party inspection approvals when required.
• Prepare test and inspection requirements for assigned projects, including ITPs and procurement specifications.
• Document non-conforming material and support NCR processing and resolution.
• Support internal quality audits, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement activities.
• Ensure adherence to relevant quality standards, laws, regulations, and customer-specific requirements.
• Maintain accurate records, inspection reports, quality logs, and release documentation.
• Support operational excellence initiatives and high levels of customer service.

HSE Responsibilities

• Support the implementation of site HSE procedures and safe work practices within the Pump QRC.
• Promote compliance with HSE policies, permit-to-work requirements, and risk control measures.
• Participate in hazard identification, risk assessments, toolbox talks, and safety awareness activities.
• Monitor work areas for unsafe conditions and unsafe behaviors and support corrective actions.
• Support incident reporting, investigation, and follow-up actions.
• Ensure contractors and employees follow required safety requirements, including PPE, housekeeping, lifting safety, and equipment safety.
• Assist in environmental and safety compliance activities as required by site procedures and regulations.
• Encourage a strong safety culture through coaching, communication, and daily field presence.

Required Experience And Qualification

• B.Sc. in Engineering or related technical discipline.
• 7 years of relevant experience in pump OEM, repair, or rotating equipment environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, inspection methods, welding, NDE, and related standards.
• Thorough Experience and understanding of machining, assembly, and test operations for pumps and associated accessories.
• Knowledge of inspection equipment and tools used in machining, assembly, and test operations.
• Thorough Experience working in a repair/QRC or manufacturing environment is a MUST.
• Thorough knowledge of API 610 and API 682.
• Knowledge of site HSE practices, hazard identification, and industrial safety requirements.
• Awareness of HSE requirements for industrial workshop and field environments.
• Familiarity with permit-to-work, risk assessment, PPE, lifting safety, and safe equipment handling.
• Certified internal/Lead Auditor 9001:2015 is MUST.
• Certified internal/Lead Auditor 14001 & 45001 is preferrable.
• Certification in Welding inspection i.e., AWS CWI or CSWIP 3.1 is preferrable.
• Certification in Painting inspection i.e., NACE Level II, SSPC Level II or equivalent is preferable.
• Knowledge of the established quality standards, laws and regulations of national and international standards.
• Safety-related certification or formal HSE training is MUST.
