BEC Arabia is seeking a Senior Architectural Engineer to join our HO Projects Department in Makkah. You will lead the architectural design for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with client goals and Saudi Vision 2030, while coordinating with structural, MEP, and civil teams.

You will verify conformity with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), supervise design reviews, conduct site visits, and manage approvals with local authorities.

Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Architecture from an accredited university.
Minimum 10 years of architectural design and project management experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp.
Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC).

Responsibilities

BEC Arabia is seeking a Senior Architectural Engineer to join our HO Projects Department in Makkah. As a Senior Architectural Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the architectural integrity, functionality, and sustainability of large-scale projects, including commercial buildings, residential developments, and government mega-projects.

You will collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, including structural engineers, project managers, and contractors, to deliver innovative and high-quality architectural solutions. Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve leading design reviews, ensuring compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC), and coordinating with stakeholders to meet project milestones. Key Responsibilities

Lead the architectural design process for large-scale construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and client requirements.
Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, including structural, MEP, and civil engineers, to integrate architectural designs seamlessly.
Review and approve architectural drawings, specifications, and materials to ensure compliance with the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and project standards.
Conduct site visits to monitor construction progress, verify adherence to design specifications, and address any architectural issues.
Collaborate with project managers and contractors to resolve design challenges and ensure timely project delivery.
Ensure compliance with sustainability standards such as Mostadam and LEED, incorporating green building practices into designs.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations for stakeholders, outlining design concepts, progress updates, and technical recommendations.
Manage the submission and approval process for architectural designs with local authorities and regulatory bodies.
Develop and maintain project documentation, including design briefs, technical reports, and as-built drawings.
Mentor junior architects and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Architecture or a related field from an accredited university.
Minimum of 10 years of experience in architectural design and project management within the construction industry.
Proficiency in architectural software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp.
Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) and other relevant regulations.
Registration with the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
Demonstrated experience in large-scale projects, including commercial, residential, and government developments.
Excellent communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Architecture or a related field.
Certification in LEED or Mostadam for green building practices.
Experience with BIM (Building Information Modeling) tools and workflows.
Previous experience working on Saudi Vision 2030 giga-projects.
Familiarity with advanced rendering tools such as Lumion or V-Ray.

Working Conditions

Based in Makkah, with frequent site visits to active construction projects.
Office and on-site work environment, requiring the use of PPE during site visits.
Standard working hours with occasional extended hours to meet project deadlines.
Exposure to varying climate conditions during site inspections.
Regional travel may be required to coordinate with stakeholders and project teams.
