Overview of the role
The Project Manager works under the supervision of the Head of Operations and is responsible for leading the project team to deliver the project from inception to completion successfully. The role includes planning, directing, and coordinating the project’s operations, ensuring and improving performance, productivity, efficiency, and profitability through effective methods.
What you will do
Project Management
- Develop and implement the project execution plan, ensuring quality control standards and cost control for on‑time completion.
- Deliver projects on time, within budget and quality set by the organization.
- Liaise with all stakeholders to ensure project deliverables are met.
- Coordinate with project managers and project directors to ensure timely order of materials and planning/arranging of labor and subcontractors.
- Supervise, monitor and report project progress throughout the cycle to ensure on‑time completion. Lead project progress meetings and coordinate with other departments.
- Oversee installation and construction work, ensuring efficient workmanship standards.
- Ensure a proper record of completed project documentation is available upon project completion.
- Elaborate and update project planning data (effort, actual costs vs budget, schedule, personnel deployment planning, etc.).
Cost Management
- Execute projects within estimated material, labor and staff costs.
- Submit monthly payment applications, obtain certification and collect payments through QS & Finance.
- Obtain variation orders for scope changes instructed by the employer.
Engineering
- Monitor and ensure pre‑construction activities (material submittals and drawings) are executed in line with the project plan.
- Ensure adequate resources are assigned to the project in coordination with the project head.
- Ensure Engineering/Design complies with local authorities and specialist manufacturer recommendations.
Quality Standards
- Assign adequate QA/QC staff.
- Monitor and control quality performance of projects.
- Ensure no quality deviations occur.
Health, Safety & Environment
- Ensure all company and subcontractor personnel comply with AFE HSE policy.
- Actively support and participate in safety and environmental initiatives.

What Equips you for the role
Minimum Qualifications and Knowledge
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field (IT, Communications, Electrical, Engineering or similar).
- PMP certification.
- Proficiency in MS Office.
Minimum Experience
- 7 to 10 years relevant experience in ICT/ELV project implementation, including structured cabling, ICT, ELV, security, AV, etc.
Job‑Specific Technical Skills
- Hands‑on experience in installation/construction activities and work in a construction environment.
- Hands‑on experience commissioning ICT/ELV/AV systems.
- Technical training or certifications in leading ICT/ELV/AV systems.
- Expert knowledge of ICT/ELV/AV industry standards, practices, techniques, procedures, codes, and regulations.
- Knowledge of QS & QC processes.
- Good knowledge of networks, installation, T&C & ICT/ELV/AV system integration.
- Experience in basic network implementation, installation, configuration and troubleshooting.
- Basic knowledge of AutoCAD.
- Responsive to changing demands and experience in construction management.
- Good knowledge of project execution processes and local code of practice and international standards for design implementation.
