Job summary

Riyad Bank is seeking an experienced Program Manager to drive enterprise initiatives and align programs with strategic goals. You will liaise between project managers and the program sponsor to ensure clear information exchange and secure execution within the Project Delivery Framework.

The role requires banking experience, strong PM tools knowledge, and a track record of delivering defined business outcomes across large programs.

Qualifications

• 8-10 years of experience in program management within banking/financial services.

Responsibilities

• Supports the Head of EPMO in developing an enterprise-wide strategy and ensures translation into executable initiatives.
• Maintains program alignment within the Division to support strategic goals of the Bank.
• Leads transformation of EPMO maturity level by promoting project management rigor.
• Adheres to departmental policies to ensure controlled and consistent work.
• Suggests policy improvements to governance and quality assurance, and implements procedures.
• Ensures Project Manager alignment with the Project Delivery Framework and artefacts.
• Recommends updates to project management tools and templates to meet business needs.
• Provides QA on project deliverables (Business Case, Charter, Risk/Issue logs).
• Supports Benefits realization and corrective actions for underperforming projects.

Job description

To facilitate the accurate and smooth implementation of programs relevant to the assigned division and to act as the liaison between the Project Managers and the program sponsor for the clear and continuous exchange of information that will support the efficient execution of the projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Supports the Head of EPMO in the development of an enterprise wide strategy and ensures translation of strategy into a cohesive set of initiatives that can be executed by the Bank within its capacity limit.
• Supports ongoing program alignment within assigned Division during the development and monitoring of ongoing projects and program to ensure they support the achievement of the strategic goals of the Bank.
• Assist the Head of EPMO in the transformation of the EPMO function from its current maturity level to the target maturity level by acting as advocates of project management rigor as defined by the Project Delivery Framework.
• Adherence to all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent manner.
• Recommends improvements to departmental policy to the Head of Governance, Policy & Quality Assurance and directs the implementation of procedures and controls covering all areas of EPMO activity so that all relevant procedural requirements are fulfilled.
• Accountable for ensuring Project Manager alignment with the Project Delivery Framework (e.g. PCD, BC, Project artefacts).
• Responsible for recommending updates to project and program management tools and templates to the Head of Governance, Policy & Quality Assurance as required to meet the needs of business.
• Accountable for quality assurance on project related deliverables (e.g. Business Case, Charter, Risk/Issue logs, etc.) for each of the Project Managers working in his/her Division.
• Provide support to relevant Division in the management of benefits realization and correction of projects not meeting agreed targets.

Experience Required

• 8-10 years of experience.
• Strong Banking/financial services experience; should have served as a Program Manager in a bank/financial services organisation.
• Experience of PM tools e.g. Microsoft Project, Matchware MindView, RationalPlan Multi Project, Project Kickstart, MS Project Server, Atlassian, etc.
• Hands on experience in preparing project management templates (e.g. business and functional requirement documents).
• Knowledge and experience of working with MS Office products including PowerPoint, Excel, MS Visio and MS Project.
• Strong communication skills (listening, writing, oral); strong critical thinking and planning skills required.
• Expert level competency in project management.

Education Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Finance, or Business preferred.
• International project management certification, e.g., PMP, PMI.
