Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Experience in procurement within the construction and contracting sector.
  • Practical knowledge of construction materials, technical requirements, and subcontractor procurement.
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures, supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and Purchase Order processes.
  • Ability to read BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and supplier management skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Good command of English; Arabic communication skills would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Manage procurement requests from receipt through Purchase Orders.
  • Coordinate with project teams to define procurement requirements and specs.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop suppliers and subcontractors; maintain supplier database.
  • Prepare and issue RFQs; obtain timely quotations from suppliers.
  • Review commercial comparisons and coordinate with teams on technical evaluations and bid comparisons.
  • Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, and other terms with suppliers.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders and contracts per policy and authorization.
  • Monitor deliveries and coordinate with project teams and warehouses for schedules.
  • Track supplier performance on price, quality, service, and delivery.
  • Support urgent procurement needs and minimize delays.
  • Maintain procurement records and report on requisitions, orders, deliveries, and status.
  • Ensure compliance with policies, procedures, and project requirements.

We are seeking an experienced

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Procurement Supervisor to join our Construction Sector (MCC). The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating procurement activities for construction projects, ensuring the timely sourcing and purchasing of materials, technical requirements, and subcontracting services in accordance with approved procedures, project requirements, quality standards, and commercial objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and follow up on procurement requests for construction projects from receipt of the request through the issuance of Purchase Orders.
  • Coordinate with project teams, technical departments, and other relevant functions to ensure procurement requirements and technical specifications are clearly defined.
  • Identify, evaluate, and develop qualified suppliers and subcontractors, while maintaining and expanding the supplier database.
  • Prepare and issue Requests for Quotations (RFQs) and follow up with suppliers to ensure timely submission of quotations.
  • Prepare and review commercial comparisons and coordinate with the relevant teams regarding technical evaluations and bid comparisons.
  • Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive prices, favorable payment terms, delivery schedules, and other commercial conditions.
  • Prepare, issue, and follow up on Purchase Orders and contracts in accordance with approved company policies, procedures, and authorization levels.
  • Monitor material and service deliveries and coordinate with project teams and warehouses to ensure compliance with required delivery schedules.
  • Monitor supplier performance in terms of pricing, quality, service, and delivery commitments.
  • Support project teams with urgent procurement requirements and take proactive measures to minimize procurement-related delays.
  • Maintain accurate procurement records and prepare periodic reports on Purchase Requisitions, Purchase Orders, outstanding deliveries, and procurement status.
  • Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, procedures, and applicable project requirements.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Procurement, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in procurement within the construction and contracting sector.
  • Practical knowledge of construction materials, technical requirements, and subcontractor procurement.
  • Good understanding of procurement procedures, supplier sourcing, quotation evaluation, negotiation, and Purchase Order processes.
  • Ability to read and understand BOQs, technical specifications, drawings, and project requirements.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, coordination, and supplier management skills.
  • Good analytical and commercial evaluation skills.
  • Experience working with ERP systems; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics is an advantage.
  • Ability to manage multiple procurement requirements and work effectively under deadlines.
  • Good command of English; Arabic communication skills would be an advantage.
Preferred Experience
  • Experience in procurement for construction projects, particularly in materials, technical works, and subcontracting services.
  • Experience dealing with local and international suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Experience supporting multiple projects simultaneously.
