Position: Procurement & Logistics Officer. Location: Riyadh. Candidates based in Riyadh preferred.
Contract Duration: 15 Aug 2026 – 29 Apr 2027.
Role Summary
The Procurement & Logistics Officer is responsible for managing the complete procurement and logistics cycle for a Residential Villa Project. This includes timely sourcing, purchasing, expediting, transportation, inspection, storage and delivery of materials, equipment and specialist items required for project execution. The role requires strong coordination with project management, design teams, technical departments, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams to ensure all materials meet approved specifications, quality standards, project schedules and client expectations. The successful candidate will have experience managing procurement activities for premium construction projects, luxury villas, hospitality or high‑value developments with strong knowledge of Saudi suppliers, international sourcing, customs procedures and construction material logistics.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Management: Develop and execute procurement plans aligned with project schedules, material requirements and construction milestones; review approved material submittals, specifications, drawings, BOQs and procurement schedules to initiate purchasing activities; source qualified suppliers and subcontractors for architectural, interior, MEP, landscaping and specialist materials; prepare RFQs, evaluate quotations, conduct commercial comparisons and support procurement recommendations; negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, warranties and commercial conditions; ensure procurement activities comply with budgets, specifications, quality requirements and client expectations; maintain procurement trackers, purchase orders, supplier records and delivery status reports.
- Material & Supplier Coordination: Coordinate with technical teams to ensure purchased materials comply with approved samples, specifications and design intent; manage supplier approvals, material samples, mock-ups and technical documentation submissions; follow up with suppliers on production status, manufacturing progress, inspection requirements and delivery commitments; coordinate inspections of materials before shipment and upon arrival; ensure all delivered materials match approved specifications, quantities and quality standards.
- Logistics Management: Manage logistics planning for local and international material deliveries; coordinate transportation, customs clearance, import documentation and site delivery schedules; monitor shipment status and proactively resolve delays or supply chain issues; coordinate with site teams regarding access requirements, storage availability, lifting arrangements and delivery sequencing; ensure safe handling, protection and storage of high‑value materials including finishes, furniture, fixtures, specialist equipment and imported items.
- Project Coordination: Work closely with Project Management, Construction Engineering, Interior Design and Site teams to understand upcoming procurement requirements; participate in project meetings and provide updates on procurement status, risks, delays and mitigation plans; identify potential procurement risks and propose alternative suppliers, materials or solutions; support project completion by ensuring materials are available according to construction priorities.
Technical Skills & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Procurement, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- Minimum 5–8 years of experience in procurement and logistics within construction, luxury residential, hospitality or high‑value building projects.
- Experience supporting major projects in Saudi Arabia is preferred.
- Experience with architectural finishes, interiors, MEP equipment, furniture, fixtures and specialist materials is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of construction procurement processes, supplier evaluation and commercial negotiations; experience managing local and international suppliers; understanding of BOQs, specifications, drawings and material submittal processes.
- Knowledge of Saudi market suppliers, manufacturers and construction material sources.
- Experience with import/export procedures, customs clearance and international shipments.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, procurement software, ERP systems and reporting tools.
Preferred Experience
- Previous experience in Royal/VIP residential projects, luxury villas, palace developments, five‑star hotels, high‑end interior fit‑out projects and giga‑projects in Saudi Arabia.
- Experience handling confidential client requirements and premium materials.
