Job description

At Medtronic you can begin a life-long career of exploration and innovation, while helping champion healthcare access and equity for all. You’ll lead with purpose, breaking down barriers to innovation in a more connected, compassionate world.

A Day in the Life

As an HEPR Generalist, your role extends beyond evidence development. It is about shaping national access pathways, informing policy dialogue with government stakeholders, and aligning value narratives with healthcare transformation agendas. From guiding reimbursement strategy across public and semi-public systems to partnering with ministries, payers, and clinical leaders, you will ensure that innovation is not only clinically meaningful, but economically sustainable and nationally relevant.

Responsibilities
  • Lead market access strategy for medical devices, integrating pricing and reimbursement, HTA, and clinical and economic evidence to support sustainable adoption.
  • Develop end to end payer and customer value strategies across the product lifecycle, from early development through launch and lifecycle optimization.
  • Position and communicate differentiated MedTech value propositions, highlighting impact on clinical outcomes, care pathways, and healthcare system efficiency.
  • Manage senior level external stakeholder engagement with payers, HTA bodies, procurement authorities, and regulators, building trusted relationships to support timely reimbursement, coverage, and technology adoption.
  • Oversee strategic evidence generation and real world data initiatives to strengthen pricing, coverage, reimbursement decisions, and market uptake.
  • Direct quantitative and qualitative pricing research to inform value based pricing and access strategies.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to ensure pricing and access approaches are robust, credible, and aligned with payer expectations.
Required Knowledge and Experience
  • 10+ years of experience in Health Economics, Policy, and Reimbursement
  • Deep understanding of health economic methodologies (Cost Effectiveness Analysis “CEA”, Budget Impact Analysis “BIA”) and its application in the Med Tech industry. Also can localize global value frameworks to local payers, providers, and HTA expectations in Middle East markets
  • Understanding of different reimbursement models including DRG based systems, bundled payments, tenders, risk sharing agreements, and outcome based contracts
  • Solid understanding of public healthcare systems in the Middle East, including the role of Ministries of Health, national payers, procurement bodies, and regulators
  • Ability to interpret and influence policy directions aligned with health system sustainability, innovation adoption, and reform agendas
  • Knowledge of driving and communicating Real World Evidence data with payers, policy makers and clinicians in the Middle East markets
  • Experience in contributing to, or leading access strategies during health system reform, policy evolution, or HTA implementation. Also can anticipate policy trends and proactively position innovation within evolving healthcare priorities
