Job summary

Muscat Engineering Consultancy LLC seeks a Principal Civil Designer to lead design activities on major Oil & Gas projects in Saudi Arabia. The role requires deep technical expertise, strong leadership, and proficiency in key design tools.

You will guide a team of senior designers and draftsmen to deliver high-quality drawings that meet client standards. Ideal candidates offer 15+ years in Oil & Gas design, with 3+ years in KSA, and fluency in English; Arabic is a plus.

Qualifications

• Diploma or equivalent technical qualification in engineering or design.
• Minimum 15 years of relevant Oil & Gas design experience, with at least 3 years in Saudi Arabia.
• Proficiency in industry design software: MicroStation, AutoCAD, SP3D, PDMS, PDS, E3D.
• Strong knowledge of discipline-specific layouts and deliverables.
• Familiarity with Saudi Aramco standards and international codes.
• Excellent command of English; Arabic is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage a team of Senior Designers and Draftsmen across multiple disciplines.
• Plan, assign, and oversee daily design tasks to ensure timely project delivery.
• Review and verify engineering drawings for accuracy and consistency.
• Maintain cost-effective practices when updating or creating documents.
• Ensure high-quality, presentable drawings that meet project and client standards.
• Identify and manage interface points between disciplines throughout the design lifecycle.
