Job summary

Saudi Telecom Company seeks a senior professional to provide technical expertise in Infrastructure & Applications Design and Engineering to ensure business continuity. You will advise on operational work processes, architecture design, and presales activities to minimize technical and operational risks.

The role involves collaborating with sales, defining design guidelines, and leading capacity planning discussions to deliver high-level, compliant infrastructure solutions for client engagements

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Telecommunications Engineering or Computer Science.
• +5 Years of Experience in circuit/system/infrastructure/applications design in technology/telecommunication industry.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with sales and business development to gather client requirements and provide infrastructure design inputs for proposals and RFPs.
• Estimate future infrastructure demands and cost structures for budgetary and capacity planning.
• Define and communicate design guidelines and best practices to internal engineering teams.
• Advise on infrastructure architecture, design methodologies, and tactical strategies for customer environments.
• Assess client network and security postures and highlight high-level mitigation strategies during presales.
• Lead infrastructure dimensioning and capacity planning discussions with clients for new services.
• Ensure compliant high-level infrastructure designs are proposed with safety and performance standards.
• Assist in evaluating client systems and propose upgrades or alternatives during proposal development.

Also, they are responsible for advising on operational work processes and mandates to minimize technical and operational risks.

Job Responsibility

• Collaborate with sales and business development teams to gather client requirements, assess technical needs, and provide infrastructure design inputs for proposals and RFPs.
• Contribute to budgetary and capacity planning activities by estimating future infrastructure demands and cost structures, ensuring alignment with customer expectations and financial constraints.
• Define and communicate design guidelines and best practices to internal engineering teams, ensuring alignment with customer goals and presales commitments.
• Provide expert advisory on infrastructure architecture, design methodologies, and tactical strategies tailored to customer-specific environments and industry benchmarks.
• Assess client network and security postures; recommend high-level mitigation strategies or elevate significant risks during presales engagements.
• Lead infrastructure dimensioning and capacity planning discussions with clients for new and expanding services, factoring in scalability and resilience.
• Ensure optimized, compliant high-level infrastructure designs are proposed, incorporating safety, regulatory, and performance standards as part of presales solutions.
• Assist in evaluating customer system and equipment performance baselines; suggest upgrades or alternatives in line with proposal development.
• Establish infrastructure quality benchmarks that strike the right balance between cost-effectiveness and service excellence for competitive presales offers.

Job Responsibility (cont.)

• Advise clients on IT application architecture design, covering service architecture, technology stack, and alignment with enterprise frameworks and digital transformation roadmaps.
• Coordinate closely with enterprise architects and technical stakeholders to ensure Customer Requirements (CRs) are accurately translated into feasible, scalable solutions.
• Guide prioritization of client requirements based on business value, feasibility, and alignment with the broader solution strategy.
• Identify and analyze gaps between current state (as-is) and desired future state (to-be) in client environments, proposing strategic transition approaches.
• Ensure all high-level designs and proposed architectures are supported by clear documentation, performance baselines, and value-driven optimizations.
• Validate technical solution blueprints to confirm they meet client needs, budgetary limits, and long-term operational goals.
• Support presales testing scope definition, identifying areas requiring detailed validation such as database performance, integration scenarios, or usability under customer-specific conditions.
• Ensure proposed services and applications integrate seamlessly with client’s existing platforms and IT environments.
• Recommend refinements to high-level solution designs to ensure accurate alignment with business drivers and client pain points.
• Provide presales support for OS, database systems, virtualization, archiving, and server consolidation as per customer objectives.
• Help define specifications for back-end infrastructure and middleware in alignment with proposed business applications.
• Review existing client infrastructure and propose modernization strategies or design improvements during presales consultations.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to recommend database performance tuning and optimization plans.
• Support planning and justification for data migration, backup strategies, and legacy decommissioning, tailored to presales scenarios.
• Provide forecasting and ROI analysis for infrastructure components such as cloud services, storage, and network capacity in support of client proposals.
• Architect cloud solutions (private/public/hybrid) based on client needs, evaluating providers and technologies for presales recommendations.
• Advise on cloud integration strategies for clients transitioning from legacy environments to modern platforms.
• Define pre-production test environments and methodologies required for client demonstrations or POCs.
• Ensure all presales proposals comply with security standards and corporate policies, including data protection and operational controls.
