Job summary

Aljomaih Energy and Water Company is looking for a Control Room Desk Operator responsible for monitoring and coordinating operational activities in a combined cycle power station. The operator will ensure optimal performance while adhering to grid dispatch instructions and Power Purchase Agreements.

The ideal candidate should have at least 5 years of experience, with a focus on CCR operations and a degree in Mechanical or Electrical disciplines. Proficiency in English and teamwork skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of professional experience; 3+ years as CCR Operator in O&Ms of Combined Cycle Power Plants.
• Preference for Siemens GT-based CCGT experience.
• Proficiency in English; knowledge of Arabic is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Continuously monitor aspects of power generation systems.
• Operate and adjust control systems for optimal plant performance.
• Communicate and coordinate dispatch instructions effectively.
• Maintain records of operational parameters and performance metrics.
• Follow established safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
• Support the Shift Charge Engineer during isolations and preparations.
• Work collaboratively with technical staff to troubleshoot operational issues.
• Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and safety standards.
