Job summary

Acwa is seeking a Local Operator in Jubail to supervise daily plant operations and coordinate with CCR operators on critical activities. The role emphasizes safe startup and shutdown in accordance with SOPs and strict adherence to safety and environmental guidelines.

The candidate will monitor parameters, record readings, and ensure all actions meet quality, health, safety, and environmental standards while maintaining logs and supporting shift handovers.

Qualifications

• Diploma or higher in a related plant operations field.
• Familiarity with safety and environmental management systems.
• Experience with power or desalination plant operations preferred.

Responsibilities

• Monitor system parameters and coordinate with CCR Operator on activities affecting plant operations.
• Ensure safe startup and shutdown in line with SOPs.
• Follow Shift Supervisor instructions and report abnormalities promptly.
• Maintain logs of readings and shift activities.
• Inspect plant areas to ensure equipment stays within limits.
• Raise work requests or defect notes for faulty equipment.
• Coordinate isolation and line-up of equipment before/after maintenance.
• Assist in training new operators and uphold housekeeping standards.
• Report near misses and environmental/quality deviations.
