Job summary

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre (Gen. Org.) is seeking a PhD-qualified research professional to conduct laboratory experiments and analyze results in a dynamic hospital research setting.

You will contribute to planning research projects, develop new ideas, and assist in manuscript writing for publications and presentations. The role may involve grant writing under supervision, training others, and ensuring strict adherence to safety and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• PhD degree in a scientific discipline relevant to the research field is required.
• No years of experience for Saudis or three (3) years post doctorate experience for non-Saudis as an independent professional within his/her field required.
• Proven records of presenting original data at national or international meetings.

Responsibilities

• Conducts research and laboratory experiments within a specified field.
• Analyses and interprets results.
• Contributes to planning of research projects.
• Develops new ideas and expertise that promote ongoing research.
• Assists in manuscript writing for publication in scientific journals and presentations.
• May assist in grant writing under the direction of the Hospital.
• Engages in training and professional development to enhance skills and independence.
• Provides training and supervision to research staff.
• Oversees laboratory operations, supplies, equipment, and ordering of materials.
• Follows laboratory safety rules and hospital policies.
• Participates in self and others education and development as applicable.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
