Job summary

Alstom in Saudi Arabia invites an experienced Automation Systems Engineer to lead architectures and interfaces for rail automation projects. You will collaborate with Engineering, Cybersecurity, Field Operations and Support Functions to deliver high-quality control-command systems.

You will contribute to FAT tests, support field operations, monitor subcontractors, manage configuration lists, and feed Return of Experience to improve future projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in Automation Systems Engineering.
• At least 5 years of experience in automation systems, preferably in railway transportation.
• Experience in test and commissioning or troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical installation (high/medium/low voltage).
• Fluent in English; Arabic and/or French is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform automation basic engineering activities for projects or programs.
• Define architectures for automation and control-command systems.
• Provide technical and interface specifications for automation systems.
• Ensure technical monitoring of subcontractors for automation programs and cubicles.
• Participate in factory acceptance tests for automation systems.
• Provide technical support to Field Operations teams for design-related issues.

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your automation engineering expertise in a cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside collaborative and innovative teammates.

You'll play a key role in delivering high-quality automation and control-command systems for traction projects. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (Engineering Teams, Cybersecurity teams, Field Operations, and Support Functions), ensure technical monitoring of subcontractors, and provide technical support to field operations, and much more.

You’ll specifically take care of defining architectures for automation systems and providing technical and interface specifications while assisting with automation interfaces and risk management. You’ll also contribute to Return of Experience (REX) analysis to improve future projects.
