Job summary

Pace in Jeddah seeks a senior project controls professional to lead scheduling, budgeting, and performance analysis on major civil projects. You will apply earned value analysis, coordinate change management, and ensure timely milestones with close client and team coordination.

The role requires Primavera expertise, MS Projects, and strong communication, with 10+ years in civil engineering projects and SSE membership.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Primavera and project controls.
  • 10+ years experience in Civil Engineering/Construction supervision or related.
  • Experience with reputable engineering firms or consultancies.

Responsibilities

  • Apply earned value analysis and performance measurement tools.
  • Coordinate change management and assess time/cost implications.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to meet milestones.
  • Interface with client representatives on performance, risks and scheduling.
  • Monitor and report progress, identify variances and mitigation.
  • Oversee subcontractors, suppliers and internal teams.
  • Prepare and set up project budgets with monthly cost reports.
  • Support cost control by tracking budgets, commitments and expenditures.
  • Track progress and implement corrective measures.
  • Work with site supervision, planning engineers and contractors to forecast completion.

About the Role
  • Apply project management and planning tools and techniques to ensure that the project finish date and milestones are successfully achieved.
What you will be doing
  • Conduct earned value analysis (EVA) and other performance measurement tools.
  • Coordinate change management, ensuring proper assessment of time and cost implications.
  • Develop and manage project schedules to ensure timely completion of all milestones.
  • Ensure compliance with project control procedures and quality standards.
  • Ensure compliance with project timelines, standards, and quality requirements.
  • Interface with client representatives on project performance, risks, and scheduling matters.
  • Monitor and report on project progress, identifying variances and proposing mitigation measures.
  • Oversee and coordinate the work of subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams.
  • Prepare and set up project budgets, providing monthly cost management reports to monitor actual costs versus planned costs.
  • Support cost control by tracking project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
  • Track project progress, identify potential delays or risks, and implement corrective measures.
  • Work closely with site supervision teams, planning engineers, and contractors to validate actual progress and forecast completion.
Required Experience
  • Over 10 years experience or as required by related construction supervision agreement.
  • Experience having worked with reputable engineering firms, preferably consulting firms within the industry.
  • Knowledge and practical experience of working with Primavera.
Education
  • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering.
Certifications & Memberships
  • Saudi Council of Engineers (SSE) Membership or any local engineer's society membership, i.e. CRPEP (for Bahrain).
  • Software skills with microsoft office (Excel, Word, Powerpoint, etc), Primavera and Microsoft Projects.
  • Excellent communication skills and presentation skills.
  • Compilation of various project reports as directed by management from time to time.
  • Client focussed, providing advice and services.
  • Works well in a team with a collaborative approach.
  • Detail minded, thorough and systematic in their approach to work.
