Job summary

Kent in Khobar is looking for a Pipefitter to join the team. The role focuses on fabricating piping systems, reading isometric and P&ID drawings, and assembling components to ensure a fully functional piping network.

Responsibilities include following QA/QC procedures, maintaining tools and equipment, and collaborating with engineers and construction management to meet project timelines.

Qualifications

• Reading Isometric and P&ID Drawings.
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, CrMo and Inconel materials.
• Experience in large and small bore piping.
• Be able to read and understand Isometric and P&ID Drawings.
• Certificate III in Engineering - Fabrication Trade
• Reading engineering drawings and blueprints with accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Fabricate piping via cutting, threading, roll groove and bevelling to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Assemble and install valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports for proper functionality.
• Follow quality control systems and techniques.
• Interpret engineering and fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately.
• Maintain and mark out measurements accurately.
• Demonstrate commitment to workplace safety and PPE usage.
• Maintain equipment, tools, and machinery in proper working condition.
• Collaborate with engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management to meet goals.
• Keep detailed records like Weld maps, Work packs, and flange management tags.
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to enhance skills.

About the job:

Kent is looking for a Pipefitter to be based in Khobar

Skills and Responsibilities:

• Be a self-starter and able to work both autonomously and as part of a team
• Fabricate piping via various methods including cutting, threading, roll groove and bevelling of prespooled and stick built piping to blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring they fit together seamlessly
• Assemble and install various fixtures, such as valves, fittings, and hangers/pipe supports, to ensure proper functionality of the piping system
• Follow quality control systems and techniques
• Interpret engineering and detailed fabrication drawings, specifications and standards to complete tasks accurately
• Ability to mark out and measure accurately
• Demonstrate a commitment to workplace safety and the safety of your co-workers
• Utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Maintain and care for equipment, tools, and machinery, ensuring they are in proper working condition
• Collaborate with other team members, including engineers, QA/QC inspectors, and construction management team, to achieve project goals and timelines
• Keep detailed records of work performed: including, Flange Management & Fit up tags, Work packs and Weld maps
• Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and best practices to enhance skills and knowledge

Your knowledge/ Skills, Education, and Experience

• Certificate III Engineering – Fabrication Trade – Boilermaker or Equivalent
• Experience with carbon steel, stainless steel, CrMo and Inconel materials
