Job summary

Jobtailor in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, seeks an experienced Mechanical/Mechatronics Maintenance Engineer to lead upkeep of high-speed pharmaceutical lines, supervise technicians, and coordinate upgrades.

You will implement GMP-compliant maintenance plans, perform root-cause analysis, and partner with production for safe, compliant operations. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 2–5 years of pharma maintenance experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Mechatronics.
• 2–5 years experience in pharmaceutical maintenance.
• Strong troubleshooting experience in high-speed production equipment.
• Experience managing equipment upgrades and revamping projects.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of GMP and pharmaceutical regulatory environment.

Responsibilities

• Supervise mechanical maintenance of production lines and equipment.
• Lead root cause analysis for mechanical failures.
• Ensure corrective and preventive maintenance is implemented.
• Coordinate planned shutdown activities.
• Lead mechanical scope for new equipment transfer, erection, installation and commissioning.
• Manage mechanical revamping, retrofitting, upgrading, and system modifications.
• Execute major overhauls and technical improvement projects.
• Review mechanical layouts and utility integration.
• Evaluate supplier proposals and technical solutions.
• Coordinate FAT/SAT and support qualification phases.
• Ensure alignment with production, quality, and safety standards.
• Develop and optimize preventive maintenance plans.
• Implement reliability-centred maintenance strategies.
• Ensure maintenance activities meet GMP standards.
• Support deviation investigations and change control processes.
• Maintain equipment documentation and history records.
• Supervise mechanical technicians and contractors.
• Plan manpower and maintenance scheduling.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards.
• Provide technical training and coaching.
