Job summary

Fakeeh Care is seeking a mid-level physician in Medicine and Surgery to join our medical team in Saudi Arabia. You will perform clinical duties, assess patients, and develop evidence-based care plans documented in medical records.

You will ensure timely implementation and assume MRP responsibilities for inpatients, including discharge planning and daily SOAP notes. You will participate in teaching rounds, educate patients and families, and attend departmental meetings.

Qualifications

• Must clearly communicate with patients, families, physicians and non-medical staff.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong organizational skills; able to work in high-stress environments.
• Board or Fellowship in relevant specialty.
• Current license to practice (SCFHS/DHA) with BLS and advanced license if applicable.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in Medicine and Surgery field.

Responsibilities

• Performs clinical duties per assigned clinical privileges.
• Assesses patients including clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional aspects and documents in medical records.
• Develops and documents an evidence-based plan of care.
• Ensures the plan of care is implemented in a timely manner.
• Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients under their name.
• Develops discharge plans on day of admission and involves discharge planning services when warranted.
• Performs daily inpatient assessments and documents in SOAP notes.
• Responds to medical consultations promptly.
• Documents medical interventions in a timely manner.
• Adheres to Fakeeh care documentation standards.
• Completes and authenticates discharge summaries and educates on take-home medications.
• Attends facility duties and departmental meetings; contributes to efficiency and satisfaction.
• Writes medical reports timely and per Fakeeh care format.
• Contributes to teaching rounds and activities as requested by department chair.
• Educates patients and families about health conditions and treatments.
• Other duties within scope as assigned.

Job description

Key Responsibilities and Duties:

• Performs clinical duties as per his / her assigned clinical privileges.


• Assesses his / her patients thoroughly (eg. clinical, socioeconomic, psychological and functional assessments) and documents patients' assessment in patients' medical records.


• Develops a plan of care for patients using an evidence-based approach and following standards of care, and documents the plan of care in patients’ medical record.


• Ensures that patients’ plan of care that is put by him/her is being implemented in a timely manner.


• Becomes the most responsible physician (MRP) for inpatients admitted under his / her name.


• For inpatients admitted under his / her name, develops discharge plan on day of admission and involves discharge-planning service as early as possible if warranted.


• Assesses inpatients that are admitted under his / her name at least once daily and ensures documentation of daily assessment and plan of care in daily progress notes using SOAP format.


• Responds to medical consultations in timely manner.


• Documents medical interventions that he / she performs on patients in a timely manner.


• Strictly follows Fakeeh care standards for documentation in medical records


• Responsible for timely completion and authentication of discharge summaries for patients admitted under his / her name. Also responsible for ensuring that indicated discharge instructions and education on take home medications is done prior to patients discharge.


• Attends to Fakeeh Health Care facility duties and responds to calls from the facility as per the departmental /section call schedule.


• Attends departmental and general staff meetings and contributes ideas for improving efficiency, productivity and patient satisfaction.


• Responsible for writing medical reports of his / her patients in a timely manner

• Contributes to teaching rounds and teaching activities as requested by chairperson of medical department


• Educates patients and their families about health conditions, treatments and preventative measures.


• Other duties as assigned within the scope of responsibility and requirements of the job.

Requirements

Skills and Abilities:

Experience:

• Completion of experience according to the regional health regulatory authority


• (as mentioned in education) within the field of specialty, in recognized medical centers.

Education:

• Board / Fellowship.

• License for practice as per the regional health regulatory authority e.g. (SCFHS /DHA), BLS and advanced license if applicable.
